If something has happened to you, you can talk to us.
We are not the police and we are not a law firm. We are people in Accra who will listen, take you seriously, and help you work out what can be done next.
What we can do
- Listen to what happened, in confidence, at your pace.
- Refer you to a lawyer who has agreed to take cases like yours.
- Help you write and file a complaint, and keep copies of everything.
- Refer you to medical care and counselling where it is available.
- Help you find emergency accommodation, where a place exists.
- Document your case, with your consent, so it is not lost.
What we cannot do
- Act as your lawyer in court or give formal legal advice.
- Guarantee accommodation, relocation or money.
- Respond instantly at any hour — we are a small team.
- Promise an outcome from the police, a court or any institution.
In an immediate emergency, contact the Ghana Police Service on 191 or the national emergency number 112. If reaching the police is not safe for you, contact us and say so clearly.

Use a device only you control
If your phone or laptop is shared, use a private browsing window and clear it afterwards, or borrow a trusted friend's device.
You can stay anonymous
Our report form does not require your name, your number or your email. Tell us only what you are comfortable telling us.
Tell us how to reply
Say whether it is safe for us to call, text, email, or not contact you at all until you reach out again.
Other places you can go
- Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) — the national body that investigates human rights complaints and abuse of power by public officials, with offices in every region.
- Police Intelligence and Professional Standards Bureau (PIPS) — where complaints about the conduct of police officers are formally made.
- Legal Aid Commission — free legal representation for people who cannot afford a lawyer.
- Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) — the police unit for domestic violence and abuse against women and children.
